Throughout my time as a member of this chapter, I have gained so much. I always know that my sisters will have my back and support me in any aspect of my life. My college experience thus far has been filled with memories of spending time with my sisters, and I know these girls will be some of my closest, life-long friends. I can say with certainty that without this organization and my amazing sisters, I would not be the person I am proud to be today. As the president of the Theta Kappa Chapter at the University of Rochester, I welcome you to our website! Please feel free to look around and see what it’s like to be a part of the amazing sisterhood that I am happy to call home! Our sisterhood prides itself on being a group of diverse young women that are brought together through
a unique bond of sisterhood, a spirit of generosity, high expectations for character and a drive for innovation.
During my time here, I have gained an immense amount of leadership experience that I know will carry over into my future endeavors. This chapter provides so many opportunities for our sisters to thrive and succeed. We are a very close-knit group of young women who are not only active members of this chapter but also active members of the university community. Our sisters can be found as dance performers, athletes, and members of many other amazing clubs and organizations.
As a sisterhood, Alpha Phi Theta Kappa supports the Alpha Phi Foundation and women’s heart health. On-campus, we host various events such as Alpha Phifa, our annual Red Dress Gala fundraiser, and our Heart Health Week in order to raise money for funding research for women’s heart disease, the number one killer of women in the United States. Locally, we also volunteer at an animal shelter to serve the surrounding Rochester community. By helping others in need, we are able to better ourselves.
